1999 - CARRIE ROPER FULTON WILEY passed away July 16, 1999 at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 25 days. She was born August 21, 1915 in Raleigh, NC to Harry Rascoe Fulton of Oxford, MS and Nell Cribbs Fulton of Tuscaloosa, AL. Carrie-Roper married Dr. Llewellyn Noel Wiley of Vienna, VA, November 11, 1942 in Nashville, TN. Dr. Wiley preceded her in death June 26, 1997. Carrie-Roper was a member of Kappa-Delta Sorority, D.A.R. and Daughters of The Confederacy and The National Society of Colonial Dames. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Fulton III; daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Brett; son, Harry F. Wiley; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 21, 1999, at 6:30 P.M. at St. Chad's Anglican Church, 11919 Orsinger. Burial will be in Washington, D.C. at Rock Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Chad's Anglican Church. Arrangements with: Ortiz Mortuary. |
