Ruth's obituary: "Ruth E. Cribbs, age 79, of Steubenville, passed away Thursday, at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville. Ruth was born Feb. 11, 1924, in Steubenville, the daughter of the late Clifford W. and Cora (Fell) Cribbs. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Craig W. Cribbs in 1972 and a sister, Ellamae (Cribbs) Erickson in 1975. Ruth was retired from the family furniture business and was a life-long Methodist. Surviving is a brother, Jack C. Cribbs of Ocala, Fla., and several nieces and nephews. Private family funeral service will be held at the McClave Chapel, Steubenville, with Rev. David McKinnon. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Steubenville. Arrangements handled by the McClave-Chandler-Mills, Inc. Funeral Home, 611 N. Fourth St., Steubenville, Ohio (740)282-2717. Memorial contributions in Ruth's name may be made to the Alive Shelter, P.O. Box 866, Steubenville, OH 43952." Ruth was a family tree researcher for the Cribbs family. |
