1) Served in Civil War, in Co. G, 112nd PA Infantry 02 Feb 1864 - 29 Jan 1866. 2) Lived in Blacklick Twp., Indiana Co., Pennsylvania. 3) A request for pension was filed against his service record on 8/2/1890 for an invalid class pension. On 7/31/1926, his widow, Catherine filed a widow class pension. 4) Undated obituary: "C. Marion Cribbs, aged 81 years, a veteran of the Civil War and a long-time-resident of the district in which he had always lived, died at his home in Graffton, near Blacklick, Tuesday evening at 7:40 o'clock. He leaves his widow and three children. During the War of the Rebellion Mr. Cribbs was a member of the Second Heavy Artillary. Funeral services will be conducted in the Coral Lutheran Church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock and internment will be made in the church cemetery." |
