MILITARY: Captain in Revolutionary War, North Carolina. Pension application made in Monroe County, Tennessee in 1836 gives his age as 88, says he was born in Louisa County, Virginia, and moved to Lunenburg County, VA at age four (thus, 1752).

RESIDENCE: In 1773/1774 he moved to Caswell County, NC. He lived there until the War ended (1784), at which time he moved to Surry County, NC, where he remained until 1818, when he moved to Green County, Tennessee, then in 1820 to Bledsoe County, Tennessee, and then in 1822 to Monroe County, Tennessee, where he remained until death.
