Notes for Benjamin Franklin (Spalding) SPAULDING
Benjamin Franklin Spalding, later changed his name to Spaulding. He was one of the three sons of Isaac and Sarah Jane Spalding. He moved from Hannibal Missouri to Paris Texas after 1860. He may have gone as Fredrick Spaulding also, according to his relatives.
A lot of the information on the Spauldings came from Byron Spaulding, son of George William Spaulding, and related to this writer by Freita Spaulding.
Benjamin was a breakman on the Southern Pacific Railroad. In 1894 he was Post Master in Wynoka, Oklahoma, Indian Territory, now known as Woods County.
