Notes for Thomas III JORDAN
Thomas Jordan was married at his father's home. Thomas was also called "Major Thomas Jordan" and in 1696 was a Burgess for Nansemond County, Virginia. He was also called "a planter and a merchant of Prince George County, VA, and owned a fleet of boats. He became an Episcopalian shortly after his marriage, serving as a vestryman. He was also a sheriff from 1708-1729, a Justice of the Peace and a Lieutenant of the militia in 1714. He and Elizabeth had 4 children.
Notes for III Thomas Jordan:
1/9/1700 bought land in the Isle of Wight and moved his family there. Merchant of Prince George County, Virginia. Had a small fleet of ships. Record of dealings with Pasquotank.
