Margaret's father, Robert, was a french huguenot and he received a patent of 1,200 acres on April 12, 1653 on the southern branch of the Nansemond River. Margaret was born in the new world. The patent of land was received for transporting nine colonists and his family.

Note: See note for husband. LDS Temple work done for her twice, once as wife on Thomas Jordan FGS and once as a child on her father's FGS. I recorded the earlier dates. Dates from Quaker record which is the primary source. I assume reference to O.S. dating system. She was b. 7 mo, 1642 and d. 1708,10 mo, 7th day surviving her husband "9 yr lacking 18 hours"
