Intestate recorded in Washington County, GA

By the Honorable the Inferior Court for said County setting for ordinary purposes.

Whereas Asa Jordan late of this county deceased died intestate having while he lived and at the time of his death divers goods rights and credits within the county aforesaid, by named where of the full disposition and power of granting the administration of all and singular the goods rights and credits of said deceased; and also auditing the accounts calculations and reckonings of said administration and a final desposition of the survey to the court aforesaid does of right belong; they deserving that the goods rights and credits of said deceased may the will and truly administration converted and disposed of do hereby grant unto Josiah Amason administrator full power by the terms of these presents to administer the goods rights and credits of said deceased which to him in his life time and at the time of his death, did belong; and to ask , levy , recover and reown the same, and to pay the debts in which the decesaed stood bound, so far forth as his goods, righrts and credits will extend according to their rate and order of low, being first sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God to make a trtue and perfect accounting thereof and to exhibit the same to the clerk of the court of ordinary in the county aforesid in order to be recorded on or before the 2nd day of January next ensuing and to render a just and true account of said administration when then unto required and you are hereby ordered and constitued and appointed administrater of all and singular the goods rights and credit of said deceased.

In testimony whereof we have caused the clerk of this court to set his hand and seal this 2nd day of September Eighteen Hundred and thirty Nine.
