Notes for Obadiah PATTERSON

Obadiah and Rebecca Smith Patterson lived in deersville, Ohio for about 3 years. Obadiah learned the tanner trade with Levi Hayes. They moved to Monroe County Indiana bout 1853. Here Arthur Patterson was born. Because of the outbreak of Maleria and Ague, their doctor advised them to move back to Ohio, which they did about 1854 or 55. They lived at Arthur B. Patterson's Farm. Obadiah had 120 acres, part was his share of the estate, and part he paid cash for. He traded his farm in Indiana to his brother William Patterson for the payment of the 120 acres that he was buying. Nancy Jane was born on that farm
