Occ: Became a Mariner and Master of ships trading to West Indies. Probably had a
house in Bristol and Antiqua, West Indies.
1704 owned Ship Hayward, carring primarily sugar, bound for Bristol, England.
In 1721 Had sloop Fisher of Barbaros when lying at anchir in Sant a Lucas, Pidgeon
Island when he and Capt. Norton's brigatine were seized by Pirate Roberts.
Richard was godfather to Richard Symes, Grandson of Charles, and left him after the
death of his third wife, her settlement of 20,000 pounds which fell to him at the decease of
Richard Symes of Baxley in Kent (who first possed it) in 1758.
He was married 3 times, One was to a woman named Mary.
