Waldorp Enumeration District 140 Sheet 38 Line 39. Robert M. Newton served in the Confederacy during the Civil War Company F. Of the 55th Georgia Regiment Enlisted May 1862 and discharged 1863. In the Civil War pension files his death is listed in the year 1884. It states (I saw the document) that Elizabeth was married in 1858 and lived in Georgia all her life. Her death is listed as August 13, 1914. Payments were given to her annually in the amount of 60 dollars per year from 1897-1914.

On the 1870 Carroll County Census, Robert listed as a teacher with his wife Elizabeth and children: Lau 10, Georgia 8, Julia 5, William 4, James 4 mos.. In the 1880 Haraldson County Georgia Census, two more children appear Lelia a daughter and Marvin a son. The 1880 Census is
on-line at U.S. Gen web, Haralson County Georgia. The cemetery where they were buried in Calhoun County, Alabama. (Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery)Rebeckah Murphy Pilcher Jordan is listed B: 30 Sep 1829 Died 22 Mar 1879. It says " Mother-wife of Benjamin Jordan Married 12 Mar 1844". The Washington County, Georgia marriage records that states there marriage as October 1, 1844. I don't know which one to go by. Benjamin Jordan is listed B:17 Aug 1826 D: 2 Mar 1898 "CSA Marker". William F. Jordan (Nephew? (Maybe William F.'s son) of George Law) is listed as B: 19 Feb 1891
