INFO: I am speculating that this first wife of William was a Sherwood only because if son John is the one that married Mary Rice and ha d a son Sherwood she may have been a Sherwood and then through this maternal connection to George Sims of Antiqua, who has since been found to be Elizabeth Sherwood, may be the reason some of both families move and migrate to same areas and remain very intimately inv olved with one another for several generations often even using given names of each other. They would be double cousins of some kind.
