William Dale Cribbs' obituary:
William Dale Cribbs, 85, passed away September 29, 2005 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Bill was born on May 14, 1920 in Dalhart, TX, the son of Carl and Emma Cribbs. After graduation from high school in Borger, TX, Bill joined the U.S. Army, 5th Army Air Corps. He was in Europe and the Philippines. He was a crewmember on the B-36 bomber. After coming back to Oklahoma City, he graduated from Oklahoma City University and began a long career with the FAA at the Mike Maroney Center. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ernest. He is survived by brothers, Jimmy of Washington state, and Roy of Mustang, OK; sister, June Verett of Newberry, MI; sons, Mike and his wife Gwen of Chattanooga, TN, Carl and wife Sharon of Germany, and Danny and wife Pam of Piedmont, OK; step-children, Mary Bennett, Diane Baldwin, Mark Armstrong, and Mary Acree; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was loved and respected by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at Cherokee Hills Baptist Church, 5700 NW 63rd, OKC. Interment will follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
